Christmas 2010 was spent just outside of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 8 days of beach and sun. Unfortunately, the first day on the beach, my GoPro HD got knocked out of my hand by a rogue wave while playing in the surf. Having been a snow kid all my life, I suppose I underestimated the forces of the ocean and didn’t bother to tether it to myself. Kerplunk. While it was in it’s waterproof housing, it was lost in the swirling sand in a split second. Diving after it proved impossible, even in 4 feet of ocean. I’ve replaced it now, but that footage will be gone forever. Lesson learned. Here are some photos from Haulover Beach, South Beach and Hollywood, FL. Enjoy.
