“We’re engineers that love theatre and the outdoors,” is how Genna described herself and Jean on our first meeting. A unique combination of interests, yet we immediately clicked over the love for nature and summers going to camp. I had recently visited Rockwood Conservation Area on a weekend family hike and knew the location just outside of Guelph would lend itself to some fantastic engagement photos. I pitched Genna and Jean on the idea for an early spring walk in the woods and they were willing to make the drive out of the city. Some icy spots could still be found amongst the trees and in the centre of the Eramosa River on this early April morning, but hiking boots and puffy coats made for a romantic walk in the woods.
