In the beginning of the year, I was asked by Klipsch Audio Canada to photograph their installation over 1000+ speakers in the Air Canada Centre. This included the Toronto Maple Leafs dressing room, the hallways, the suites, the bars, the lounges, the restaurants and the exterior of the building. No small task, that’s for sure. Forgot to mention, you can only shoot between 10am and 6pm on a specific day. No pressure, but don’t screw it up.
While it would have been nice to have a few hours to light up each location, sometimes logistics just won’t allow it. Having the tools in your bag of tricks to get the job done is key. In this instance, it was a single light and powerpack, and some painting with light. Most of the shots below are a composite of a few different photos, with my voice activated assistant running around with a strobe on a lightstand. The camera was kept solidly on a tripod for each photo. Those photos were then merged into Photoshop, and the best light from each photo was masked to be in the photo.
