Took the long weekend and went up to Chedoke Falls again. On the last adventure, with no real idea where we were going, we ended up at the base of Lower Chedoke Falls in the gorge, with no real way to get to the upper falls. This time, I stuck to the path beside the Par 3 on the Chedoke public golf course and successfully made it to the top of the lower falls. From there, I navigated the creek and boulders right up to the base of the Upper Chedoke Falls. There may be a way to get to these from the top, but steep cliffs surround it, so I’d recommend just walking up from the bottom. Much less graffiti and garbage on these falls compared to the lower ones. I guess the scumbags aren’t willing to put in the effort.
And, bicycle-friendly stairs? Never seen these before, but it looks like a huge pain in the ass. Essentially a trough for bike tires… 296 winding stairs… good luck with that.
